goblin Feast
Goblin Feast is a curated and participatory feast created by Chris Nelck, Paul Mullenburg, Jip Moeken and myself. The concept was tested in 2023 and born in our very own place of work, Roodkapje. It was inspired by our collective love for strange food, 70's inspired presentations and the act of eating together. What it developed into was community celebrations for us, our friends and eventually new friends.

The events shaped themselves, in my eyes, into a beautifully rouge scene of beauty and absurdity, our community being the goblins of the table and also of society. Queer, creative and working class feast with our goblin friends the same way white kings would in medical times. What is more, at Goblin Feast IV we feast facing the skyscrapers outside Roodkapje, proudly.
Goblin Feast is first and foremost a pot-luck based dinner, encouraging themes to create food with a concept or a whole feast based around an idea. Goblin Feast IV owes its success to Donatas Tretjakovas, Garvan Corr. Both presented performances that supported the main collective so amazingly! And of course, since it is a donated based event (food is the donation and the whole feast is the prize), we thank everyone who contributed <3
